PROFESSIONS: Learning from the best
Believe it or not, a lot of what we have learned has come from research in the professions of sports, music, acting and dance, and what they do to acquire, maintain and improve their physical skills. They all have a ‘Game Plan’ (Process); they all dedicate themselves to preparation and practice, and they all understand the need and value the input / feedback/ support from another professional (usually a coach) to ensure consistency of performance of results.
And if client acquisition and client retention is anything, it is a physical activity. And that is the approach we take in helping professions improve their Business Acquisition /Retention skills – by learning from these other professionals; by using what they themselves know in their own profession; and by teaching new skills / behaviours.
